Every artist considers drawing as the fundamental requirement for painting. Quite often the sketch made on the field becomes for me a starting point for a new watercolor. Some of the works in the Watercolors page start from field sketches.
As a good practice, human figures must always be drawn live, however even a photograph can be an opportunity to practice.
I have heard this phrase throughout my whole childhood.
I used to live on the seaside, in a small village on the Tyrrhenian coast. I used to go down to the sea all year round, from January to December. The concrete stairs encrusted with salt and the rusty railings are etched in my memory. This child leans to watch the horizon. He looks like me at the age of 11. Drawings such as this recall childhood memories in many of you.
Improvising means basically having fun. Often it happens that I want to make drawings while I'm busy doing something else. I take a sheet and sketch a figure.
Internet is a great source of inspiration, so when I see a series of photos related to sportswear I immediately took the sketchbook and recorded the execution. You can see it for free on Youtube.
