Sailing ships series: hunting whales

This series inaugurates the new year as a year of changes for me. My online learning channel has just been released! You'll find there lots of free as well as downloadable videos, tutorials and ideas. I'm proud of having a growing community of art lovers with whom I interact, giving classes and helping as better as I can to progress in watercolor technique.

The Sailing Ship Series is dedicated to the sea and set up as an graphic novel that tells about the adventures of a crew of whale fishermen traveling around the oceans. The ship protagonist of these works is the most beautiful I can imagine: a frigate equipped with complete sailing system. Follow up this adventure with me!

Crossing the Oceans

Tutti gli acquerelli della serie sono eseguiti su carta Arches 300g grana grossa, in acquerello puro in formato medio (35 x 50 cm).

The journey begins crossing the Sea, from one ocean to another. The Great Pacific Ocean awaits the whale fishing ship arrival.

We are at the end of the 19th century. British companies finance the expedition. In their plans, whale oil is worth gold. It is the era of large three-masted sailing ships, the mighty Clippers, that take journeys across the seas in record time.
